Abstract

The General Conference in Bordeaux will strengthen and expand the gender and politics community and scholarship in Europe and beyond. The year’s gender section is entitled ‘Gender+ and Politics’. The ‘+’ is to make explicit that this section welcomes papers addressing diversity and intersectionality. The issues that panels and papers in the ‘Gender+ and Politics’ section address capture the breadth of this field and focus on innovative research on social movements, political parties, representation, equality, sexuality, violence, war, security, development, democracy, political institutions, public policies, multiculturalism, intersectionality, citizenship and international relations. Papers can have a theoretical, methodological and/or empirical focus.
