This session will bring together two examples of games and simulations to teach the EU decision making process. Our speaker, Viviane Gravey will reflect on the development of two versions of the Co-decide?! board game in spring 2020 – a table-top version for the classroom environment and an online version for socially distant classrooms. You will also have a chance to compare your experience in developing games and simulations, online and offline, discuss what worked and what did not, and how our students engaged with them. In the second part of the session, our speakers Sven Ivens and Konstantin Kaiser will present a new way of teaching an international and digital seminar about lobbyism in the EU using an innovative digital simulation game framework. They will discuss the lessons learned from the teacher's as well as the student’s perspective.
