The electoral performance of far-right parties is on an upward trend. A series of local, national and European-level elections have been increasingly contested on nationalist issues, with far-right parties making significant gains. Many of these parties have held in the past - or continue to hold- government positions. This emboldens them and makes them increasingly politically relevant, as they can implement policy and influence the programmatic agenda of other parties. As these parties expand their support and enter governmental roles, they become increasingly able to implement a wide-range of policies. This section focuses on these policies. Specifically, it explores the policy positions of far right parties, the policy domains within which they compete, the policies they implement once in power, as well as policies that other actors in the system may adopt as potential counter-strategies. We invite contributions that focus on policy domains/position including but not limited to:
• The Welfare state
• Immigration
• Environment and Green transition
• Minority rights
