Abstract

Contribution will focus on the human rights standards at the level of the EU and its significance in the association relationship with special emphasis on new agreements with the state of Eastern Partnership. The contribution will examine instruments on human rights protection at the level of the EU – especially mechanism of the Charter of fundamental rights of the EU, importance of art. 2 TEU and its scope, relevant case-law of the Court of Justice of the EU. Also the relevant provisions of human rights character under EU-Ukraine Agreement will be examined (including the comparison with the previous instruments of association) and its importance for future integration.
