While effective teaching is vital for student learning 5 in higher education, academics in Europe are not as prepared for their teaching careers as they are for
their research. Recent changes in higher education make the development of academics’ teaching skills a priority. This presentation will call the attention
to the pressing need to improve the quality of teaching in higher education, including Political Science education and it will make recommendations
at the European, national and institutional levels to achieve this.
