Abstract

This panel brings together diverse perspectives on contemporary challenges and transformations in international relations. The papers explore a wide range of topics, including the evolving concept of Hâmi in Turkish foreign policy, the role of inclusive dialogue in reinvigorating multilateralism, Russia’s strategic ambitions in the Arctic and their implications for European security, and the influence of populism on foreign and security policy in Central and Eastern Europe. Additional contributions examine Russia’s use of anti-imperial narratives in Sub-Saharan Africa through a postcolonial lens. Together, these studies offer critical insights into how power, identity, and cooperation are negotiated in a rapidly shifting global order, highlighting both emerging threats and opportunities for renewed international engagement.
