GESIS Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences is a publicly funded research infrastructure (and research) organisation in Germany, with offices in Mannheim and Cologne. It supports and conducts research at an international level in various Social Science disciplines, most notably Sociology, Political Science, and Computational Social Science. GESIS has a very strong foundation in survey research, by hosting various ongoing national, and international-comparative, survey programmes, but has established, and continues to develop, the pillar of 'digital behavioural data' systematically since a number of years.
