Abstract

We welcome Papers that explore the social and political dynamics of migration in its various forms as well as analyses of the social and political responses to mobility and migration across various governance levels in Europe from the local to the global. We especially welcome Papers addressing the increasing diversification, differentiation and stratification of migrants and migration policies in Europe, for example, in the light of global discussions about wanted/unwanted or, "good"/"bad" forms of "immigration", new visa regimes, guest worker and indentured migration schemes, and conflicts between 'white' or 'native' and 'foreign' labour. We also welcome reflections on the limitations and possible demise of European freedom of movement, in the light of Brexit or the European migration crisis, and the political "migranticization" of internal migration, banal transnationalism and mobilities. We especially welcome reflections on these topics in comparative and interdisciplinary perspective or using mixed methods modes, and which link up to trends and developments in other receiving regions such as Latin America, the Middle East or East Asia.
