In accordance with its aims, the standing group in political theory seeks to ‘promote political theory within the political science community’ and facilitate ‘dialogue between different national, linguistic and intellectual 'cultures in political theory’. Organising as a section at the Budapest conference serves to realize these aims. The section welcomes applications for panels in all areas of contemporary and historical political theory from all parts of the world and from a range of diverse theoretical traditions: for example, themes such as globalisation, democracy, justice, multiculturalism as well as panels on key methods, concepts and thinkers in political theory. Innovative and non-traditional topics are most welcome.
