Epistemic Citizenship: Navigating Epistemic Authority in Digital Educational Settings

How do future citizens engage with and evaluate knowledge in digital educational contexts? This paper presents initial findings on the role of epistemic authority in civic education. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of epistemic dynamics in democracy and highlights challenges faced by an epistemically informed democratic citizenry, including issues of trust, critical engagement, and “neutrality” of knowledge in digital spaces.
