Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has emerged as a profound challenge to the resilience of international health systems, compelling nations to reevaluate their crisis management strategies. This paper aims to explore the responses of China and Greece to the pandemic, highlighting the critical dimensions of collaboration, information sharing, and the involvement of global health organizations. By examining the strategies employed by both countries, the paper will assess how their historical ties and existing diplomatic relations influenced their approaches to managing the health crisis. The analysis will delve into the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation in addressing public health challenges, including the exchange of best practices, resources, and scientific knowledge. It will also investigate the role of international organizations, such as the World Health Organization, in facilitating communication and support between the two nations during the pandemic. Furthermore, the paper will consider the implications of these responses for future Sino-Greek relations, particularly in the context of global health governance and crisis preparedness. By contextualizing their experiences within the broader landscape of international health policy, this study will contribute to a deeper understanding of how the COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped diplomatic interactions and influenced the evolution of health crisis management strategies in an increasingly interconnected world.
