Learning and EU Democracy Support Policies and Practices: Synthesising Conceptual Innovations with Empirical Insights

This article harmonises the various findings from the contributions to this panel and synthesises the results from a bird's eye view. It reviews and discusses all contributions, highlighting similarities and differences, and drawing conclusions regarding learning (or the lack thereof) in the context of EU democracy support policies and practices. It relates the panel contributions, including its conceptual innovation as well as empirical findings, to the extant literature, and lays out potential pathways for future research. Moreover, it explores the future of EU democracy support policies and practices in the neighborhoods and works out concrete policy recommendations.
