Abstract

This papers reports results aspects of power in counterhegemonic discourses such as the Zapatistas in Mexico, 15M and Podemos in Spain and in hegemonic discourses such as the EU policy of Higher Education and the UN Agenda of the SDGs. It shows features of both, discusses ethical issues and it claims why a Text Oriented Discourse Analysis as a methodology is important to identify these features and to relate these to the social and political context at and across their micro, meso and macro levels of socio-political reality.
