Politics in Central Europe was established in 2005 as the official review of the Central European Political Science Association (CEPSA). Since the very beginning of its existence, the journal was developed as primarily regional scientific review developing and supporting the knowledge about the region and presenting the articles and essays presented mainly by the regional authors. In our analysis we focus on two main research questions: 1) how the globalization and permeation through the international measures influenced the original regional focus regarding the author´s composition; 2) how the specific relation and interconnectedness with CEPSA transformed. Methodologically, the first question is reflected based on the quantitative analysis of the author´s origins as well as thematic scope of the published articles. The second question is reflected based on critical discourse analysis and biographic methods. The proposer has been acting as the editor-in-chief of the review since 2005 and for the majority of this period he was also member of the CEPSA leadership. Thus, he dispose with specific information and insight into the development and important changes regarding the review as well as mutual relation between the journal and CEPSA.
