Abstract

As a result of the Covid19 pandemic, teaching at universities switched from the analog paper format to the digital screen. After two years of the pandemic and online teaching, face-to-face teaching, at least at universities, is now often returning to frontal teaching and printed textbooks. So language learning and media literacy in the digital space is increasingly losing importance in teaching. In this presentation with workshop character, it will be illustrated how teaching ideas or projects can be designed interactively in the form of a learning buffet for face-to-face or online teaching using various web tools and drama exercises. Specifically, a Good Practice example will be presented based on a unit working with a short story. This means that the participants will be shown a didactic teaching lesson plan that has been specially designed for foreign language teaching at the university, in this case German as a foreign language. By means of this example, the web tools are presented and it is explained how they can be combined with drama exercises into station learning. Here the tools can be tried out from the learners' point of view, giving a practical insight into how they can be used. The aim is to provide teachers with a small digital and drama exercises toolbox for their own lessons, so that students can engage in self-directed and independent communicative exchange at the stations and solve the tasks collaboratively and cooperatively, regardless of the teaching format.
