Abstract

This paper discusses how teachers from two universities collaborating on an international project (Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, and Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic) aided their teachers to integrate peer learning activities into their undergraduate and graduate courses. It shares the experience from running an educational development course, which was designed to help participant teachers to understand the notion of peer learning, recognise benefits that peer learning can have for student learning, design and evaluate courses that use peer learning as a learning/teaching method. The paper shall offer categorisation of peer learning based on data collected from video-recording of course sessions, observations of student learning and interviews with students attending video-recorded sessions.
