The European Law recognises the significance of national parliaments and the parliaments play an important role in the European integration process in the candidate, associated countries. The purpose of the paper is to study the role of the Parliaments in European integration and analysis of Georgian experience. In 2016, the Association Agreement of Georgia with the European Union entered into force, which provides commitment to approximation of Georgian legislation with EU law by 2029. The role of the Parliament, the Committee on European Integration in legislating, overseeing the implementation of the Association Agreement, and informing citizens about EU integration is special in achieving this goal. The Committee also directs the activities of the delegation to the EU-Georgia Association Parliamentary Committee on the Implementation of the Agreement. Especially noteworthy is the constitutional amendment in Georgia on the obligation to ensure Georgia's full integration into the European Union. The paper specifically explores the agreement provisions regarding the role of national parliament, dialogue between parliament and the European Union Institutions, the networks of cooperation, dimensions of the legislative and supervision powers and the challenges raised in the process of European integration.
