Abstract

This paper will analyse how the UK post Brexit has been using digital means towards its stated goal of establishing a ‘Global Britain’. A ‘first mover’ in many digital contexts, post-Brexit the UK has cultivated its digital resources to pursue its foreign policy goals in two ways: 1) it has included digital cooperation among the key topics for discussion with old and new partners; 2) it has used digital means to enhance cooperation with partners. Thanks also to the pandemic, this has allowed the UK to achieve a higher level of visibility, if not of success, thus partially enhancing the ‘digital gap’ with the EU.
