Despite growing attention in both scholarly and policy oriented literature over the last decade to the growing integration of EU members countries’ defence activities, little attention has been given to the construction of European orientation among officers and public servants. The paper will survey and analyze the major changes in that realm epitomized in the establishment of a new type of education institution- National Defence Universities.
