Based on the existence of different types of relationships that can be established between political parties and social movements, this work intends to show through Analytic Narratives and Game Theory tools how some elements are able to influence the type of that relationship beyond actor’s wishes. For that purpose, it pays attention to the dynamics created between political parties and social movements around the local elections of the cities of Milan (Italy) and Barcelona (Spain) were it was possible to observe a significant presence of an explicit interaction between those two types of political actors.
