With the development of modern technologies, specifically Internet, disinformation campaigns have intensified and they have changed their features. One of the symptoms is boom of online media easily reaching public, spreading disinformation and intentionally manipulating with peoples` attitudes. While most research on online disinformation media is based on qualitative approaches analyzing single stories and narratives disseminated, this paper comes with results from experimental design research testing influence of manipulative techniques. The research detect in what way selected manipulative techniques have impact on our willingness to read news articles. The strength of single techniques is tested. The experimental design works with different target groups, which are going to be compared as for the vulnerability. The research is based on theories of cognitive dissonance and cognitive bias.
