The paper deals with contemporary propagandist activities of vigilante and paramilitary groups in East Central Europe. Propaganda and manipulation in virtual and real world are analyzed, including interconnections of non-state vigilante groups with the so called “alternative” media scene and with the radical and extremist political milieu. Selected counter-measures are described and assessed. Case studies related to individual vigilante groups are used with the aim to explain recent challenges in this field.
