In 2011 and 2013 the International Political Science Association (IPSA) produced Gender Monitoring Reports based on survey data from the national political science associations that form its membership. In 2017 the survey expanded expanded its focus to include issues relating to race, ethnicity and Indigeneity, resulting in the 2018 Gender and Diversity Report. This presentation will overview the role of bodies such as IPSA in promoting democratic values such as inclusion inside and outside the discipline. It will summarise the main findings from the 2018 Report, based on data from 33 national associations across all continents as well as from IPSA itself. It will discuss the institutional practices and other measures that have been used to promote inclusion and recognition of diversity, both within the discipline and within the profession
