In this paper, I examine the various policies in the EU that can be characterized as *EU gender policy* with a specific focus on gender and multiple discrimination. Besides, the paper presents and discuss EU governance and its major institutions in a perspective of gender policy, gender equality and multiple discrimination. It examines specifically but not exclusively the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, the European Court of Justice and civil society organizations from a gender and intersectionality perspective.
