The second discussant is Åse Gornitzka. She is Professor at the Department of Political Science, University of Oslo and affiliated Research Professor at Arena - Centre for European Studies, University of Oslo. Gornitzka’s main fields of academic interests are in the area of education and research policy, the dynamics of European level governance sites, the role of expertise in EU policy. She has published on expert groups in the European Commission Recently she had been involved in a project that examines what kind of information a polity acts on and how information is gathered, disseminated and used in the political decision making processes.
