In my Paper, I would like to compare Kant’s idea of perpetual peace and Habermas’ idea of post-national constellations. The aim is to analyze how Habermas' referring to Kant’s moral and political theory re-shape some of his ideas to change contemporary international order. What is more, thanks to a comparison of the similarities and differences between Kant’s and Habermas’ understanding of law and politics, I will reveal the internal inconsistency within Habermas’ theory of post-national constellations. In order to alleviating it in Habermas’s approach I will suggest to come back to Kant’ s idea of universal hospitality as a ethical mechanism of creating more peaceful international relations.
