This panel explores a range of questions relating to efforts to mitigate climate change through multilateral and multi-stakeholder negotiations. Papers look at state and non-state engagement with international agreements, with special attention to leadership, lobbying and cooperation. One paper approaches the issue from a dramatically different angle, holding up the question of carbon reduction to the ECPR General Conference itself, arguing that scholars of climate politics should be active in negotiating low impact means of conducting and communicating research.
