Abstract

This roundtable brings together editors of book series, and editors of general and specialist journals that publish work in the field of gender and politics. Four issues will be central to the discussion: 1) the publication challenges and opportunities for gender and politics research; 2) the challenges and opportunities for the journal and book series specialized in publishing gender and politics research in the next 5-10 years. How have the transformations in the publishing industry, funders’ requirements for open access, and globalization of political science impacted the opportunities and challenges for publishing politics and gender research?; 3) The ‘middle road’ between publishing politics and gender research in generalist journals and book series and in specialized journals and book series; 4) recommendations to politics and gender scholars for identifying the best home for their research.
