Environmental NGOs, Governance and Civil Society in China, India and Turkey

Abstract

This panel includes papers examining contentious cases of environmental management and governance in three different emerging economies. A common theme is the role of, and strategies used by, non-state actors (e.g., NGOs, social movements, firms) in their efforts to pro-environmental political and economic change.
