Intergovernmentalism and EU Governance

Abstract

Contributing to the newest wave of literature on intergovernmentalism, EU governance and the role of European institutions in relation to member states, this panel addresses the question of where power is located in the EU. The papers present findings regarding different policy areas, actors and sources of information in order to explain how decisions are made and why particular outcomes evolve. Tracing developments from the last twenty years until the present day, the papers presented in this panel are highly topical and invite for a lively debate of the latest developments in the realms of economic governance, monetary affairs, and foreign and security policy.
