Abstract

Debate is an essential part of political decision-making in legislatures and other deliberative assemblies. Debate refers to the ideal type of parliamentary politics, and it is seen as a controlling mechanism. The panel conveners welcome papers addressing the concept of debate and its analysis from different perspectives. Papers addressing the comparative, theoretical or methodological aspect of debate are particularly invited.
