Abstract

Movements increasingly operate not only locally, but also regionally and globally. The papers on this panel investigate transnational organizing (especially organizing across Europe) and the ways that global norms and international organizations shape local movements and lives in economically developing countries. Papers stress the challenges -- both expected and unexpected that arise cross-border connections.
