Abstract

National and regional labour markets differ significantly in the degree to which women are included, what occupations they undertake and the conditions of their employment. This panel explores aspects of this variation comparatively, and considers which mechanisms are conducive to promoting women’s employment and effective in correcting inequalities inherent in labour markets.
