Peace and Nonkilling Global Political Science Research

130

Abstract

A panel discussion to fit this theme will be on the question: "Is There a Nonkilling Future for Political Science?" The title stems from the forward-looking alternative as described in Professor Glenn D. Paige's work, Nonkilling Global Political Science, to the lethality paradigm. It goes further than nonviolence as the "nonkilling" concept is open-ended, evidence-based, and measurable. The papers are invited to describe and analyse research and practice in the peace and conflict resolution studies and explore a range of possibilities that exist fir future research in this important field of political science.
