The statehood of the EU and its form

134

Abstract

The aim of this section is to investigate into the nature of the European Union, which by now is the focal point for most European states, members as well as non-members. What is a state, and has the EU got a statehood of its own, and if 'yes', which form does it take; a federation or something else? If 'no', what is it then? Which consequences does the statehood approach have for the analysis of the EU?
