Students' apprehension of the world is largely influenced by the digital sources they consume. Algorithms have created echo chambers, reinforcing existing beliefs while mocking alternative points of view. The emergence of GenAI in higher education has greatly increased the need for critical engagements with such sources (Shalevska, 2024). Still, at the moment, it has mostly caused a frantic overhaul of existing assessment methods (Luo, 2024 ). How can we effectively teach research methods in a changing environment? Should anything be changed? ANd what are practices to be emulated or avoided? These and more questions will be covered in this panel.
