This panel draws on the theoretical insights of the racial capitalism, intersectionality and post and decolonial literatures to explore the political economy of a range of contemporary contexts. Exploring debt, violence, power, and a range of inequalities, it demonstrates the importance of understanding the economy through these lenses, while also highlighting the need for a feminist political economy that is embedded within intersectional commitments to understanding a range of social structures and identities.
