The panel includes papers representing diverse theoretical and methodological approaches to the issue of the constitutionalization of politics. The panelists will examine the ideas underlying the doctrine of constitutionalism, constitutional conflicts and their anchoring in the constitutional text, the processes of constitutional change, and the patterns underlying constitutional similarities. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches will be represented. Papers represent a variety of methodological approaches allowing for an interdisciplinary analysis of the principles and processes determining what constitutionalization of politics is and how it affects current political and social issues.
