Abstract

The panel looks at the contemporary global economic governance as a multilevel process where traditional multilateralism, with its focus on the international level alone, cannot adequately address global challenges. It assumes that policies aimed at tackling global issues originate not only from international organizations, but also from national governments, local authorities, as well as individual citizens.
