Abstract

This panel discusses issues around inequality, social exclusion, and impact of recessions on the gap between rich and poor. Papers in this panel discuss a range of instruments (European Semester, EU social policy instruments, the RRF and the NGEU) as they examine a range of case studies, that span a long time frame, including studies of social policy over the past decades, the Great Recession, the polycrises, and the more recent Covid-19 crisis.
