Located in the northeast of England, Newcastle is known for its rich industrial heritage, world-class universities, striking architecture and buzzing nightlife.
This diverse and vibrant city offers a welcoming atmosphere, excellent transport links, and a lively mix of tradition and innovation. But what truly sets it apart is its people – warm, welcoming, and famously friendly – making it an ideal location for academic exchange and collaboration.
We warmly thank the local organising team at Newcastle University for their generous offer and support in hosting the conference.
Participants attending and appearing in the Academic Programme must register and pay through ECPR's online system.
The registration fees are £250 (Standard) or £125 (Student).
Please note that your registration is not confirmed until your application has been accepted and your payment received in full.
In addition to fee waivers, the Standing Group will offer a limited number of conference grants covering accommodation and travel expenses for under-represented groups.
Applications for fee waivers and travel grants will close at midnight UK time on Friday 30 January 2026.
Together with the local organisers, the Standing Group Steering Committee invite expressions of interest for Section Chairs and Section proposals.
We welcome submissions from teams of two or more, especially those representing diverse career stages, regions (including the Global South and Central & Eastern Europe), and underrepresented groups.
Section Chairs will refine their Section’s theme, issue a call for contributions, and select Panels and Papers.
