The recent growth of data sources and new research tools has significantly advanced social science methods. These innovations present exciting opportunities and complex challenges, particularly for early career scholars.
In response, our Standing Group on Political Methodology has introduced its Early Careers Lounge. This series of free online workshops invites researchers to explore cutting-edge approaches and methods in social science and discuss how these are shaping the discipline. It offers a collaborative space to share work, exchange ideas and receive feedback from peers and experts.
We welcome papers, proposals and ideas on topics including:

The Standing Group on Political Methodology promotes quality, diversity and dialogue in the study of politics. It embraces a broad, inclusive approach to methods and methodology at every stage of the research process.
The Group provides a platform for methodological discussions among European political scientists, as well as scholars and students from related disciplines. It shares information on new tools and approaches for studying political phenomena, facilitates cooperation on a range of methodological issues, and supports new initiatives in political methodology.
