Our Standing Group on Political Violence organises its online seminar series to foster collaboration and networking opportunities between scholars of political violence at all career levels.
This exciting venture, launched in December 2020, comprises monthly workshops showcasing cutting-edge research in political violence, delivered by Standing Group members and special guests, which include Q&A and are followed by a social chat.
The Standing Group on Political Violence provides a collaborative network and infrastructure for international junior and senior scholars working on aspects of political violence, including guerrilla warfare, insurgency, terrorism, rebellion, and civil war. It is our aim to particularly encourage comparative approaches and approaches that seek to understand political violence in terms of the wider political and geopolitical context in which actors are located. The group is methodologically plural and welcomes scholars whatever their theoretical or methodological orientations. Find out more.
The event is open to anyone interested in research addressing the various branches of political violence. Registration is required but you will only need to register once for the entire series.
You will need a My ECPR account to register. Don't yet have one? You can create it here, even if you are not affiliated with an ECPR Member institution.
All sessions start at 14:00 GMT/ 15:00 CET
13 April – 11 May
