Summer School of ECPR Standing Group on Political Parties

6 – 15 August 2019, Aarhus University, Denmark

Organised by The ECPR Standing Group on Political Parties, this Summer School on the theme Theories and Methods in Party Politics provides young scholars with valuable theoretical and analytical knowledge, along with the chance to gain feedback on research projects or research papers, through sessions delivered by some of the field’s foremost experts. 

The event is a unique opportunity to for networking with peers, and with more senior scholars, in the field of party politics.

Built around the three well-known faces of political parties: parties in the electorate, parties as political organisations, and parties in government, the programme consists of a series of lectures, as well as in-depth discussions of participants’ research projects, by experts in the field.

Methods and data have become more diverse in the field of party politics, so lecturers and course leaders will also pay special attention to such issues arising in their field of expertise.
