Exploring Civic Learning Spaces – Young People's Citizenship Futures in Europe and Beyond

Abstract

This paper presents initial findings from an EU-HORIZON project which explores everyday understandings of European citizenship and democracy. Focusing on the use of participatory action research methods, the study examines their potential to foster meaningful engagement, critical voice-taking and civic space-making. It also highlights the methodological challenges and limitations encountered in addressing diverse perspectives across European contexts.
