WHO IS WHO IN BRASILIA - BRAZILIAN INTEREST GROUPS AND LOBBYING

The article explores for the first time a new dataset about relationship of interest groups with public authorities. The database was created with web crawlers (robots) that downloaded and organized data on interest groups meetings and events with public officials from the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary Branches in Brazil. It registers 15.366 interest groups in 88.136 interactions with senior public officials in the period from 2017 to 2021. The article analyses interest group population in Brazil, venue shopping and proposes measure of influence based on access to public authorities.
