This course aims to give the participant an overview and introduction to the major theoretical and practical issues that are faced by the statistical analysis of cross-national comparative survey analysis. This course combines the learning of fundamental points about the statistical techniques used to analyse such surveys and the learning of the practical problems encountered when using them.
Irena Vipavc Brvar is currently finalising her masters in Statistics at the University of Ljubljana. She has been involved in the ECPR Summer School in Methods and Techniques since it started in 2006, as assistant to Bruno Cautrès's course 'Multivariate Statistical Analysis and Comparative Cross-National Surveys Data'. She has been employed at Slovenian Social Science Data Archives since 2002, where she is responsible for preparation of surveys for secondary use and long term preservation, as well as providing analytical and methodological support to researchers in their research process. irena.vipavc@fdv.uni-lj.si
