Abstract

This panel explores democratic and populist attitudes and their role in political culture. Papers examine how democratic values shape political narratives during austerity, young people’s perceptions of political elites in marginalised communities, and the socio-cultural dimensions of anti-populism in online spaces. Other contributions analyse the relationship between musical preferences and ideological attitudes, as well as the impact of populist beliefs on trust, mistrust, and perceptions of electoral fairness.
