Abstract

This panel explores the intersections of affective polarization with gender dynamics and LGBT+ identities, offering a critical examination of how these dimensions shape polarized political discourse, candidate evaluations, and societal attitudes. Through a series of empirical studies, it explores the role of gender(ed) stereotypes in such evaluations, as well the complexities of affective attitudes within and towards marginalized communities.
