Abstract

The panel focuses on how liberal democracy is contested and by whom. Who are the actors that contest liberal democracy, what are their strategies, what are their arguments? What are the ideological sites and policy fields of conflicts around democracy? And what do these conflicts indicate about the concept of democracy and its inherent contradictions?
